The story of lift

Lift started in a garage in Puerto Rico ten years ago with a few passionate surfers who were obsessed with creating new experiences in the water. Over the years they expanded into one of the world’s premium hydrofoil companies, building custom foils, wings, and boards for discerning customers who wanted the best out of their kits.

The e-foil

A few years later, inspired by advances in lithium battery technology and wireless communication, and guided by their customers’ ongoing thirst for exciting experiences, they saw an opportunity to create a new best-in-class product and water sports category. The eFoil is a mix of all the sports they’ve grown to love: surfing, flying, and deep powder snowboarding. A powerful, silent electric motor, a state-of-the-art battery, and our high-performance boards, foils, and wings combine to allow riders of all abilities to fly above any body of water. Riding the eFoil evokes a completely unique feeling. Once we had our first working prototype, we set out on a mission to bring it to the world.

Before engaging with Lift, I flew to Aguadilla, Puerto Rico and met them. The are the real deal. The team is comprised of top shapers and engineers from around the globe, with backgrounds ranging from former surf professionals to plastics manufacturing experts. They all grew up in the ocean and adventure is what we do—but sharing it with our family and friends is what makes it great. As our team has grown, we’ve always focused on two core goals: making everyone, including our customers, feel like family, and holding our products to the highest standards to ensure the best experiences on the water.
