Lift Foils pioneered the electric foil surfboard. We represent none other.

Below is a video they published to show you how your first lesson with us may end (or your 3rd time out if you were to order a board online and just figure it out yourself).

Want some coaching? We may have the best training on the planet.

Progression is fun. We will help you master micro-skills that stack up to a great time flying over the water.

We start the lesson on a yoga mat

Just as pilots start with “ground school” before “stick time”, we teach you the how and why to master the positions that add up to success on the water.

Check out the video below before your lesson so the ideas can soak in (no pun intended there).

This should was uploaded to link to www.soulosurfer.com - the dream of that business is to generate enough OCF to take Cory off the payroll so he can contribute to element7concrete at the highest level with no draw on the spread.

Next we get in the water

We will carry the board in for you and walk it with the foil up to the best place to start.

1st skill: “belly cruise”.

This is super fun!

No pressure to progress too quickly.

Taking your time through the positions will actually get you to mastery faster.

We set your controller to max out at 50% capacity, so you can master throttle control and have a great time with no fear.

Doing this very well will inspire confidence for the next steps.

2nd skill: kneeboarding.

I know - kneeboarding is for kooks. No one is looking though and this is really fun. Come get some!

Here you discover how to get the board on plane.

You get the best feel for the throttle here. Really take your time learning throttle control and how the hull and foil work together as the watercraft builds momentum.

You can turn in tight circles and even get out of the water on foil a bit as you get better and better with the throttle.

Take your time here.

Learning to get and keep the board on plane while controlling the throttle smoothly is the foundation of getting to your feet.

Doing this very well will inspire confidence for the next steps.

3rd skill: standing up.

Notice how we first press down with the front hand, as we get into stand.

Mastery deconstructed.

You then transfer your weight from your front hand to your front foot.

Doing this very well will inspire confidence for the next steps.

4th skill: “surf around”.

If this is all that happens on the first lesson - it is a very fun day!

This position becomes your home-base: a safe place to come back to when you want to play with foot position or rest your legs a bit (this is a workout!).

5th skill: liftoff!

Holding steady speed, transfer a little weight to your back foot, and experience flight.

Everything gets really quiet and smooth here. This is incredibly fun!

Practice “touch and go”s until you desire to just keep flying.

6th skill: turning on foil

This is something you can improve upon for years!

The joy of smoothly accelerating through tight turns on a board hovering over the water transcends language.

You will be dreaming about getting better at this for months.

It’s like dragging a knee on a sport-bike, but without so much risk…and on the water…and it’s better exercise…and you don’t have to pay for track time…and you are very unlikely to paralyze or kill yourself in comparison.

Here are some more videos by Lift to learn the basics before your lesson.

The videos below were made by Lift for folks figuring this out on their own.

We will be there with you. This is helpful to watch beforehand though.
