Hawaiian Watermen stoked on the foil

This is exactly how I feel about foiling. Praise God that Nick figured out how to put an electric motor on the mast so I can rip up any body of water 3’ or deeper! Check out the video here of Dave Kalama and Austin Kalama.

“The sensation you get on the foil board is like nothing you can describe. You try to describe it as flying, but it’s not really that because you’re on something. You try to describe it as levitating, but it’s not really…it’s a completely unique situation” - Austin Kalama.

I say “spot-on!”

Now imagine that, but trade the paddle for an electric motor. Imagine how fun this is for a kid from Minnesota who transplanted to Texas (Hawaiians are comparatively spoiled when it comes to opportunities to have fun in the water).

I get that the weather now is just for the hardcore, but you have to try this in the spring. Next winter you might find yourself racing sundown in a wetsuit like me!
